Artist Statement

From the glamorous lifestyle of Cannes to the cultural depths of over 120 countries, I have been immersed in a world rich with symbols. My work is a visual anthology of memories and icons influenced by my global exploration.

Every brushstroke carries a story; it's a lexicon of references.

I invite viewers not just to observe, but to journey.

At the heart of my creations is a profound admiration for influential figures, brands and objects loaded with meaning.

"In My Head" series captures my shifting mental landscapes, from moments of elation to introspection. Through each piece, I share a slice of my inner world, inviting viewers to resonate with their own emotional voyages.

In the "Game Changers" series, I've interwoven dark poetic hues to spotlight history's transformative icons. Drawing inspiration from my travels and admiration for these pioneers, I aim to capture their multifaceted journeys, blending resilience, non-conformity, and the audacious spirit that has shaped both them and me.

In my "Mind Games" series, I embark on a deep exploration of the human psyche, crafting each artwork as a layered tapestry of universally recognized symbols.

The iconic masterpiece backgrounds set the stage, echoing timeless stories while resonating with classical art. Toys, reminiscent of bygone days, unearth latent memories, taking viewers back to a time of innocence, of dreams untainted by the world. Yet, contrastingly, the presence of weapons in the compositions confronts us with our own innate aggressive tendencies, symbolizing the barriers and self-defense mechanisms we've crafted as we make our way through life's challenges. Interspersed within these tales of innocence and defense are the ubiquitous lucky charms, signifying the unpredictable nature of fate and the role serendipity often plays in our journeys. And amidst it all, brain teasers present themselves, highlighting our unyielding human quest for challenges, our drive to solve problems, and our penchant for complexity even in times of calm.

Each evolution in my technique is also a reflection of my personal journey of discovery and growth.

I started painting with the immediacy of acrylic and the street vibe of spray paint. As I progressed, I incorporated silkscreen printing, a technique I adapted for my unconventional use. Now, I delve into the elegance of oil paints. Although my latest series has a modern, almost digital look, I bridge time using oil paint, the most traditional medium.

My art aims to capture the pure spirit of Pop Art, embracing popular culture icons infused with narratives. However, my pieces offer a more poetic touch compared to the bling-bling pop art commonly seen. Each artwork invites a deeper exploration, from a surface glance to uncovering hidden messages.

It's a blend of the obvious and the concealed.

Within the contemporary art landscape, my work aims to bridge gaps between the art connoisseur and the art tourist. I strive to make art universally accessible, crafting it as a language that every viewer can understand and use to shape their own unique narratives.
